At the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), our research group, led by Prof. Montserrat Diéguez, is dedicated to the sustainable design, synthesis, and optimization of highly active and selective chiral catalysts. Our work contributes to key advancements in catalytic processes with applications in the biological, pharmaceutical and organic industries.
Our research involves organometallic chemistry, stereoselective synthesis, asymmetric catalysis and flow chemistry. By integrating fundamental studies with innovative methodologies, we aims to develop more efficient and sustainable catalytic systems.
To achieve a deeper understanding of these processes, we employ a multidisciplinary approach that combines structural characterization techniques, computational chemistry and machine learning.
In our lab you will find a place to share new ideas and learn from each other's research.
We organize conferences and seminars where our master's students and PhD students can present the newest research to a broad audience, host training workshops for undergraduates to inspire future chemists, publish research papers in world's top scientific journals and collaborate with other research centeres on joint research projects to foster innovation and expand impact.
If you're interested in our work, we invite you to explore our latest publications and ongoing projects in the research/publications section.
